South Africans in Wayne County

South African industry acquaintances of Alicia’s visited Abendroth’s Apple Ridge Orchard at the beginning of October. Four gentleman working for large fruit export companies in South Africa, toured our farm and learnt about our philosophy here in Upstate NY. It was a pleasure to host them and exchange our farming experiences across hemispheres. Between Marcelo from Chile, the Abendroth’s from Germany & the US and the South Africans we had four different growing regions from across the world represented at one table. Alicia worked with these industry experts during her two month internship in South Africa. She was delighted to be able to share her slice of the apple industry with them, after having experienced theirs. May they visit us again!
